Agree with 2, most business owners use just 2 or 3 marketing methods that work for them or actually just about work and don’t bother with any others, because they don’t want to get out of their comfort zone, when in reality business owners should be adding a new marketing method to their business, every month. That then of course leads on to point 3 too!

Thanks for your comment Amanda, am so sorry to hear your news. It sounds like you are well shot of that letting agent. What opportunities they missed! as you rightly point out they have upsell opportunities and the ability to turn you into a raving advocate of their business and instead they chose to ignore you.

I hope you find a suitable new home as fast as possible with a rival agent

I sympathise so much with this. On a separate topic, I have recently been served notice on my property. Time to move again. The letter came without any “we’re sorry” covering note, and interestingly it also came without a single set of possible alternative particulars!

A golden opportunity to upsell me into another of their places, but NOTHING DOING.

I have been called Obstructive by these agents for not allowing a plumber into the house who had no appointment and turned up at my door with me wearing only a towel and wet hair, about to take my son to the hospital.

I paid them 6 months’ rent in advance, and have been treated as scum ever since. And when I spoke to the letting manager, she only defended her staff, not ONCE did she think to say “sorry”.

Whatever happened to the Customer is always right?

I’d like to scream it from the rooftops, as lettings agents in Hereford seem to be all tarnished with the same “We don’t give a shit” brush – you are there to pay their wages, but that gets overlooked on a daily basis …
